Monki Shop Is An Electric Dream

Swedish based design firm Electric Dreams has created yet another fantastic environment for their third Monki store in Sweden. Joel Degermark and Catharina Frankander lead the team on all their creative endeavors explaining that “our designs are much about story-telling and themes, a fascination of playful exaggeration. We like things that are too colorful, too weird, too beautiful, too dark.”
) B& Q* r7 |8 E2 C! D' z1 j5 L/ OThe Monki store is all about underwater sea action! “the illusory Sea of Scallops, is a dangerous, dark and gloomy world with tantalizing beauty. It rests underneath the Secrecy, a deep dark damp cave with hidden treasures, dangerous currents, and deceptive breakers.” The atmosphere of the shop is dark and adventurous, telling the story of sunken merry-go-rounds no longer spinning, tangled ropes from long-gone schooners, sparkling jellyfish floating, glowing bubbles, and water plants taking root on the mirror water surface.
