1.Small rooms must be white, or a pale neutral color/小房间必须刷白色，或者中性的浅色 
2.Small rooms must have “small”furniture/小房间必须配小家具 
3.You must follow all the “rules”/你必须遵守所有规则 
4.Dark rooms have a tendency to make your space look smaller/深色房间会使得空间显得更小

6.Don’t mix patterns and prints!/图案和印花装饰不能混搭 
7.Stick to one focal point/保留一个焦点 
8.Stick to one style/保留一种风格 
9.The most important piece of furniture is your couch/最重要的家具是你的长沙发 
10.Don’t paint vintage furniture/不要在古色的家具上涂漆 
11.Dining room tables and chairs must match/餐桌和椅子必须匹配 
12.Children’s art belongs on the fridge!/儿童艺术作品贴在冰箱上 
13.White spaces are uninviting/白色空间没有吸引力 
14.Limit your use of area rugs/限制使用小块地毯
